Multiple Debts
If a consumer has multiple debts and makes a payment, payment can not be applied to a disputed amount and shall apply the debt in accordance to the consumer’s directions.

If a debt collector violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a consumer can sue for actual and punitive damages.
